Hottentot Figs
This creeping, mat-forming succulent species is common in Guernsey. The occupying Germans used the plant for camouflage purposes during WW2.
It is seen here close to Rocquaine Bay on Guernsey's west coast. On the skyline is the German direction-finding tower on L'Eree Peninsula.
