WV5855 : La Greve de Lecq

La Greve de Lecq
La Greve de Lecq
Viewed from the uncompleted harbour wall.
On the hillside on the left of the picture one can see the roof of the 18th century guardhouse at Le Catel Fort.
This held three 32-pound guns to defend the beach from invasion of the French.
Near the far end of the beach there is a German WWII gun emplacement.
This was to defend the beach from invasion from the allies.
