GeoGraph - photograph every grid square

Retired plant pathologist, lived in Edinburgh area for 46 years, with an interest in most aspects of biology, fungi particularly, and, until recently, gliding, and travel. I discovered Geograph by accident and, before I knew about GotY, discovered I had two pictures shortlisted:- [[[492940]]], and [[[493746]]]. Four more followed, some of which I would not have given a second look :- [[[525284]]], [[[556072]]], [[[560002]]] and [[[568349]]], while much better ones found their way to the reject pile. Two that I think are a lot of fun are [[[534453]]] and [[[560066]]]. I only managed two in 2008 [[[656058]]] and [[[826525]]], the second of which would not have caught my eye as a shortlister.
