Harry Vardon statue
The statue to Harry Vardon (1870-1937) stands at the entrance to the Royal Jersey Golf Club.
The sculpture by Gerald Palmer was unveiled by Tony Jacklin on 30th July 2001.
Harry Vardon's record of six Open victories, completed over the space of thirty years, has never been beaten.
He was the first British golfer ever to win the US Open.
