WV5549 : La Rocco Tower

La Rocco Tower
The last and largest of the Conway Towers built half a mile offshore.
Built between 1796 and 1801 at a cost of about £400.
It was used by the German occupying forces for target practice and was extensively damaged.
It was left as a ruin until an appeal went out to have it restored in the 1970s.
