Les Hanois Lighthouse
Lying about one mile off the western tip of Guernsey, Les Hanois Lighthouse was built in 1859 and rises 117 feet. During World War 2, the Germans used the lighthouse as a place of solitary confinement. In 1996 the lighthouse was the first to be equipped with solar power.
